Montes has practiced Kaze Arashi Ryu since 1995, In addition, Montes holds a Ni dan black belt in Kenpo. He is also Vice President and National Director of the American Nippon Kempo Federation and has attended several tournaments in Japan.
He instructs adults
and children classes at the Kita Yama Phoenix dojo.
