(equivalent to 7th dan in modern ranking systems) Vilaire first experienced martial arts in Taijiquan, Bagua Qigong and Jujutsu,as a young boy, but additional practice began in 1968 with Kazemura Yama Arashi Ryu. He holds the Menkyokaiden certificate in all arts of the Kazemura Yama Arashi Ryu,all recognized by Leonard Samuel Marshall and Takichi Ono Nishiyama., menkyo-kaiden. |

In addition to teaching in Phoenix, Arizona, he has taught Kaze Arashi Ryu arts in, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Oregon, Washington State, Washington DC, Hawaii, Central America, North America, Great Britain, Ireland, Egypt,Japan and France. Vilaire has a MBA from Tulane University, Masters in Management from Colorado Technical University and Master Gardener from the University of Arizona. Henri-Robert Vilaire works for national financiers as a Director of Financial Reporting and is also involved in Garden Design and Bonsai making.
