Kaze Arashi ryu, a tradition that
brings inspiration and knowledge

An Open Message to my Students, Past, Present, and Future
An Open Message

For more than 30 years, I have had the honor and privilege to teach the Kaze Arashi ryu form of martial arts to many students.  This has meant the world to me, and for this I am so very grateful.  Many of my students have touched my life in ways that I cannot properly put into words.  Several of them have transcended the teacher student relationship and become dear friends.  As with anything in life, some of my students were more talented than others. Some had a greater passion for the art than others.  Some were students for a short time while others have remained with me for years.

Regardless of the length of time we have spent together perfecting our arts, I have always tried to pass onto my students the idea that in life they need to seek and find their own passion.  Kaze Arashi ryu is my passion in life, second only to my children.  Others share my passion for the art.  Some do not.  Martial Arts should be able to offer much beyond self defense.  At its highest level it helps people become more in tuned with the world and their inner selves.

I encourage everybody to learn more about all arts. I am so proud of the traditions of Kaze Arashi ryu and feel it has so much to offer. I also feel that there can be benefits offered by other forms of the arts. I hope each of you that have an interest in learning more about yourselves take the time to consider martial arts. Consider our art and that of others. I would be honored to have the opportunity to speak with you about our history, tradition and the wonderful teachings of Kaze Arashi ryu.
