to the Kita Yama Dojo (North Mountain School), Phoenix, Arizona.
We are a branch dojo of the Kaze Arashi Ryu, teaching their traditional
Japanese martial arts, or bujutsu, under the guidance of licensed (menkyo)
instructors. Our dojo originally
opened in Jackson Heights, N.Y., but is currently located in North Central
Phoenix, Arizona. Our principal instructor began training in this tradition
in 1968, and currently holds the menkyokaiden certificate in several arts. We accept students
from all walks of life, and we do not unjustly discriminate against anyone.
However, training in the Kaze Arashi Ryu, a classical tradition, is demanding
and the full curriculum is large. We train in earnest. Anyone who wishes
to train with us should expect to do the same. You will find the rewards
